LABORATORY FUME HOOD

“OCEAN” Fume Hoods are designed to function as an enclosed ventilated workspace- can provide a substantial degree of protection for the experimenter.

It is designed so as to throw-out all toxic harmful vapour, acidic/alkaline fumes, chemical vapors, removal of odour etc from the hood working area, thus protecting costly instruments and the person working in the lab.

Each fume hood shall maintain average face velocity of 80-120 fpm with no face velocity measurement more than ±20% of the average as per ANSI/AIHA

Technical Features

Cabinet Construction : Exterior: Electro Galvanized (G.I.) Sheet with Epoxy powder coated finish with rigid structure, corrosion & abrasion resistant epoxy powder coating, Stainless Steel 304 grade, Polypropylene (PP) or FRP.
Interior : Chemical & heat resistant, fire retardant, smooth finish, easily cleanable panels made up of durable PRL integral work walls
Powder Coating : Powder coated with highly chemical resistant epoxy color colors having dry film thickness of 70-80 microns.
Base Cabinet : GI sheet with Highly corrosion resistant epoxy powder coating, integral work walls lined with Special chemical & heat resistant, smooth finish, easily cleanable panels made out of durable PRL sheets. 02 exhaust ports connected to fume hood exhaust system internally, one removable horizontal partition, PP trays for chemical storage.
Baffle System : 3-point Baffle system (for light, normal & heavy fumes) to ensure rapid exhaust of fumes ensuring smooth air flow patterns.
Exhaust System : Highly efficient exhaust system (for light, normal & heavy fumes) with baffle to ensure rapid exhaust of fumes.
Work Top : Chemical resistant splash & spillage proof dished ‘Jet Black Granite’ worktop (18 mm thick). Skirting of 15 mm from all sides for protection from chemical spillage.
Sash (Shutter) : Vertical rising sash counter-balanced with pulley and counter-weight system. Smooth and light sash operation. Sash made of toughened float glass (5mm thick) Clear openable.
Illumination : Fluorescent / LED light (2-nos) with vapour-proof fitting for proper illumination.
Electrical utility :3 No.’s – 230V, 5/15 Amp. Electric Socket Single Phase
3 No.’s -MCB (NORTH WEST) with blower NO/NC switch with Built-in starter
Tube light ON/OFF Switch on Front fascia.
Cables & wires ‘Fire Retardant Low smoke’ Grade.
Damper To regulate exhaust air flow.
Sink Arrangement : Oval shaped Sink fitted and sealed with silicon sealant for drainage with water tap on left front side of worktop. Fitted trap for waste collection.
Wet & dry service valves : Remotely operated color coded Brass Needle Valves for fine control over utilities (as per DIN 12920 norms). Total 03 nos. service valves. All service lines terminate at rear end fittings.
1nos for Raw Water tap, 1nos for Gas tap, 1nos for Vacuum tap
Apparatus holding grid (OPTIONAL) : Made of Powder coated rod mounted grid with horizontal & vertical line for instruments holding with Allen key arrangement covering the entire length of the fume hood and built-in at fume hood backside.
Motor : “Crompton/ Bharat Bijli” (1HP Motor with 1-phase,), Direct driven, totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC), IP 55, Class F, continuous rating, Squirrel cage induction motor.
Maintenance Ports : Openable top panel for easy maintenance of tube light and flow control valve
Ducting (OPTIONAL) : Chemical resistant tube of 200mm/250mm diameter, duct collar : molded PP / PVC construction; rigid & flexible duct work from fume hood to exhaust stack point with weather proof canopy.
