“OCEAN” Fume Hoods are designed to function as an enclosed ventilated workspace- can provide a substantial degree of protection for the experimenter. It is designed so as to throw-out all toxic harmful vapour, acidic/alkaline fumes, chemical vapors, removal of odour etc from the hood working area, thus protecting costly instruments and the person working in the lab. Each fume hood shall maintain average face velocity of 80-120 fpm with no face velocity measurement more than ±20% of the average as per ANSI/AIHA
